On 27 July 2015, India mourned the loss of its beloved “People’s President,” Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, who passed away from cardiac arrest while delivering a lecture at IIM Shillong. Just days later, on 2 August 2015, the Initiators of Change (IOC) emerged in Ludhiana, Punjab—born from the collective resolve of youth ignited by Dr. Kalam’s life and legacy.
